Just like men’s thongs, the g-string is one of the most popular styles of men’s underwear online and favoured by some because of there more minimalist look.
They are distinguished by a much narrow string, usually only about a ¼ of an inch wide and sometimes even as thin as a broad piece of string.
One of our most popular male g-strings is the infamous HOM Fredy String
Like the thong, they consist of an elasticated waistband with a fabric pouch at the front to cover and support the genitals, which then has a narrow string that passes between the legs and buttocks to connect to the waistband at the rear.
Often the waistband is much narrower, although this is not always the case, but can sometimes be of a string nature to provide an even skimpier look.
G-string
Note the thing string of the g-string that passes between the legs and buttocks.
G-string
Dating back thousands of years and documented as being worn by men long before they became popular by women, it is thought they were preferred because of their functional and practical qualities, which seems to be why men like them so much now.
However, g-strings being worn by men still appears to be an unimaginable thought by some less liberally minded people and hence why men prefer to shop for them anonymously online and don’t flaunt the fact that they wear them.

Mens thongs are the most popular choice of strings and are distinguished from g-strings by having a much broader string or thong that is about ¾ to an inch wide and become broader toward the waist band at the rear.
Many people will be surprise at how popular thongs are amongst men, partly because many men who wear thongs are discrete about them, they don’t tend to stroll around in them in the changing rooms or have them on show above their trouser line (thank god), and therefore many assume that they are not popular.
However, let me assure you that thongs are one of our best selling styles online and match and even sometimes out shine the popularity of boxer briefs.
Sadly, most people eek at the thought of a man in a thong and yet fail to remember that most women don’t look too good in them either, unless they have a super model body. However, they are possibly the oldest documented garment of men’s underwear and date back thousands of years to times when vanity was not an issue and practicality and function prevailed.
Thongs consist of an elasticated waistband around the waist with a piece of fabric at the front to cover and support the genitals in a pouch, which then has a narrow strip of fabric (thong) that passes between the legs and buttocks to connect to the waist band at the rear.
It is believed that these are so popular because they do what men need underwear to do, and that is to support and control. One of the reasons they sell so well on line is because of the anonymity that shopping on line provides.
